Our History
1947
The beginnings of the Cooperative can be places in the first post-war period and precisely in 1947 when a first group of farmers from the Aso Valley began producing wine under the management of the Agricultural Consortium of Ascoli Piceno.
1962
The founding act of La Sociale Valdaso Agricultural Cooperative dates back to December 1962 with about 120 subscribing members who committed themselves to give every year the grapes produced in their vineyards; the Cooperative provided to the vinification of the grapes produced and to the commercialization of the wine in the plant located in Aso Valley, in the commune of Montalto delle Marche, epicentre for the conferring members spread all over the splendid valley from Sibillini Mountains to the Adriatic Sea.
1990
In the course of time, until the beginning of the 90's, the Cooperative continued to grow both in number of members, reaching more than 500, and in terms of winemaking capacity, reaching 150000 quintals of grapes conferred.
2012
Golden anniversary for the Valdaso Winery (50th anniversary of its foundation).
Under the uninterrupted guidance of President Dr. Mauro Lanciotti, the ``Cooperativa Agricola La Sociale Valdaso``, such was its original name, has become a constant model and example for the wine and agricultural sector of the Piceno and Marche regions.
